Survival Codex
A rugged, hand-cranked field device holding a vast offline library of survival and rebuilding knowledge — searchable by voice, readable in sunlight, always kept current.
Not a gadget. A civilization backup that fits in a pocket.
Every skill to survive the crisis — and the deeper knowledge to rebuild power, water, shelter, and medicine after it. Offline, self-powered, always current.
Everything you rely on runs on the grid.
The moment the signal dies, your phone becomes a paperweight. Every answer you've ever needed lives on a server you can no longer reach.
Printed manuals don't die — but they're frozen the day they're printed, and you can't search a bookshelf with one hand on a wound. A crank radio only receives whatever someone else is broadcasting.
The Survival Codex is the one tool that is vast, current, searchable, and self-powered — built to work when everything else has gone dark.

Built for the worst day.

E-ink display
Sunlight-readable electronic paper that holds the page at zero power. No glare, no glow, no drain — the screen is still showing your answer a week later.

Voice search
Press the mic, ask the question, get the answer in seconds. Hands full, gloves on, dark — it still works. Or browse the whole index with the D-pad.

Hand-crank power
A built-in crank recharges it — the knowledge never dies with a battery. Tops up over USB-C at home or from the optional solar panel in the field.

Weather sensing
Onboard barometer, thermometer, and humidity sensor read the air around you — and warn you when the pressure says the weather is about to turn.

Rugged, sealed — and silent by design
A sealed glass-fiber shell built to be dropped, rained on, and carried for years. Deliberately no radio, no speaker, no SOS — it doesn't call for help. It makes sure you have every answer when help isn't coming.
Update at home. Ready in the wild.
PLUG IN AT HOME
Connected, the Codex quietly updates its library and pulls the latest intelligence for your region.
CHOOSE WHAT MATTERS
Pick your region, topics, and update cadence. It syncs only what you select. ($1/month keeps it current — launching with the device.)
GO DARK-READY
Unplug and head out. Everything you need is now offline, searchable by voice, powered by the crank.
It doesn't call for help. It makes sure you are the help.
For your family, your neighbors, and whatever comes after — the knowledge stays with you, powered by your own hand.
For the day the answers matter.
Blackouts & infrastructure failure
Days or weeks without power, water pressure, or signal. The Codex walks you through water treatment, food safety, heat, and power — while its own crank keeps it alive.
Deep wilderness, no bars
Injury, weather turning, a wrong turn. Field medicine, navigation, shelter, and a barometer that warns you before the sky does.
Storms, floods & wildfire seasons
Region-specific checklists and protocols pulled while the grid was still up — held offline for exactly this moment.
Off-grid living & self-reliance
Wells, solar banks, food production, construction. The Rebuild library is a permanent reference shelf that fits in a jacket pocket.
The cache & the go-bag
One device in the kit replaces a shelf of manuals — and unlike the manuals, it's current the day you finally need it.
Knowledge insurance
First principles — chemistry, physics, medicine, materials — the regenerable core of how things work. A backup of civilization's practical knowledge.
Everything it needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Straight answers.
When does it ship?
Pre-orders ship April 2027. You're reserving at the pre-order price of $289 (RRP $369).
Does it need internet?
No. It works 100% offline. It only connects (via USB-C at home) to update its library — then it's fully self-contained.
How does the "always current" updating work?
Plugged in at home, it pulls the latest curated intelligence for your chosen region and topics. A $1/month plan (launching with the device) covers keeping it current — your first 12 months are included. Once you go offline, it holds the most recent version.
How is it powered?
A built-in hand crank recharges it — it never runs out of battery. It also charges via USB-C (and an optional solar panel).
Does it call for help / have GPS / a radio?
No. It has no radio, transmitter, or GPS. It is a knowledge, power, and environmental-awareness device — not a communication or rescue device. (Maps use pre-loaded data; you mark your position manually.)
What's the EMP case?
An optional shielded case for storage. To protect against an EMP event, keep the device in the case when not in use. (The device must be removed from the case to sync.)
Is the information reliable?
Content is curated and distilled from reputable sources, but it is reference information — not a substitute for professional medical care, emergency services, or hands-on training.
Can I cancel my pre-order?

“We kept asking one question: if everything went quiet tomorrow, what would you wish you had saved? Not food. Not fuel. Knowledge. So we built the device that keeps it — current, searchable, and powered by your own hand.”
